One Word Domains tracks 27,627 dictionary words across 93 TLDs with prices from six registrars, an aftermarket feed, and the DomainsGPT name generator, but publishes no API. This CLI replays its JSON routes so agents and scripts can compare TLDs, check availability, mine the dictionary, browse auctions, and run DomainsGPT, then keeps everything in SQLite for price drift, auction watches, and offline search. No other tool targeted oneword.domains as of the September 2026 ecosystem search.

Authentication
Every headline command works without an account. The lifetime-pass database (domains search, domains intersect), saved domains, and saved DomainsGPT names use your browser session: sign in to oneword.domains in Chrome (email magic link), then run oneword-domains-pp-cli auth login --chrome, which needs one cookie extractor installed (pycookiecheat, cookies, or cookie-scoop-cli) and reads Google Chrome profiles. If you signed in from Brave or another Chromium browser, export the cookies to a file and run oneword-domains-pp-cli auth login --cookies-file instead. There is no API key for the site; DomainsGPT partner tokens, when you have one, go in ONEWORD_DOMAINS_GPT_TOKEN.

This CLI separates local files into four path kinds:

Precedence matters in fleets: an ambient per-kind variable such as ONEWORD_DOMAINS_DATA_DIR overrides an explicit --home for that kind. Use ONEWORD_DOMAINS_HOME or the per-kind variables for durable fleet relocation; treat --home as the weaker per-invocation lever.
Relocation is one-way. Unsetting ONEWORD_DOMAINS_HOME does not move files back to platform defaults, and doctor cannot find credentials left under a former root. Move the files manually before unsetting relocation variables.
Existing installs keep working because the platform-default rung matches the legacy layout. On the first auth write, stored secrets leave config.toml and are consolidated into credentials.toml under the data directory. Run oneword-domains-pp-cli doctor --fail-on warn to check path and credential-location warnings in automation.

Freshness
This CLI owns bounded freshness for registered store-backed read command paths. In --data-source auto mode, covered commands check the local SQLite store before serving results; stale or missing resources trigger a bounded refresh, and refresh failures fall back to the existing local data with a warning. --data-source local never refreshes, and --data-source live reads the API without mutating the local store.
Set ONEWORD_DOMAINS_NO_AUTO_REFRESH=1 to disable the pre-read freshness hook while preserving the selected data source.
