# AGENTS.md - PokéAPI CLI

You are being asked to install or use the PokéAPI CLI from the Printing Press library.

## What it is

pokeapi-pp-cli is an agent-native command line tool for PokéAPI. Fully offline Pokédex with SQL, full-text search, type math, and a damage calculator no other Pokémon tool ships as a CLI.
It is a single Go binary that ships with an agent skill, and it installs with one command.

## Install

Recommended (installs the binary and the agent skill):

    npx -y @mvanhorn/printing-press-library install pokeapi

Hermes:

    hermes skills install mvanhorn/printing-press-library/cli-skills/pp-pokeapi --force

OpenClaw:

    clawhub install printing-press-library/pokeapi

## MCP server

This CLI ships an MCP server (pokeapi-pp-mcp) with 98 tools. Point any MCP client at it, including Claude Desktop.

## After install

Call pokeapi-pp-cli from the shell, or use the /pp-pokeapi skill inside an agent.
Run pokeapi-pp-cli --help to list commands.
